About
Dalton Feild
Fairfield University, Dolan School of Business — Economics & Business Analytics
Over the past year I've built real analytical skills, writing equity research on Comcast and Nvidia, conducting country risk analyses for international market entry, and studying how businesses compete and grow.
Compass Strategy is how I put that work to use for people who need clear answers to real business questions. I don't charge big-firm prices. What I offer is focused, honest analysis — delivered on time — and a genuine interest in helping your business move forward.
If you've got a question you've been sitting on, let's talk.
Selected Work
A sample of academic projects that shaped the analytical approach behind Compass Strategy.
Co-authored a three-person white paper assessing Nvidia's investment case. Led the current-environment analysis and half the SWOT, synthesizing competitive, regulatory, and valuation risk into a best, moderate, and worst-case scenario framework.
Recommendation
Trim while maintaining a core position — balance upside potential against elevated valuation risk.
Co-authored a country risk report evaluating Vietnam as a foreign direct investment destination. Wrote the economic complexity, financial development, and executive summary sections — analyzing GDP trends, FDI flows, credit-to-GDP ratios, and trade-partner risk.
Key Finding
Strong FDI attractiveness, with structural financial development risks that warrant a phased entry strategy.
Independently built and presented a 24-slide equity research deck covering Comcast's revenue segments, M&A history, and stock performance relative to the NASDAQ and S&P 500 — synthesizing a full picture of the company's strategic position.
Deliverable
Full equity research profile with segment analysis, competitive context, and investment thesis — presented independently.
These are academic projects completed at Fairfield University and The Haverford School. Real client work is anonymized and available on request.
